Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. As a child, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. When she went to an event at school and was given great praise for her performance at the age of 9 the young girl started to feel more confident. Not only did she gain confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her career goals. In 1992 she graduated with her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. When she turned 23, she started her journey in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, aged 23 she made her film debut in You've received mail. The character in The Lad of The Lake was her biggest success, and earned an award for her performance, the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. She gained more recognition by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a well-known singer, she released her own single and an extended play. In addition, she has been an advocate for LGBT concerns.
